Welcome to Paper Inkspirations!

Hi! My name is Krissy, welcome to my blog. I have been an avid paper-crafter for many years, my addiction started with scrapbooking and has evolved to card-making. It all started when I realized that I had forgotten to buy a card for my nephew's birthday. Looking at my ever-expanding collection of scrapbook supplies, I thought I'd made a card for him. Since then, I've been hooked on card-making and my scrapbooks have been collecting dust. Someday I'll get back to them... I have two beautiful boys and a wonderful & supportive husband and I work at the Preschool at our church. When I'm not spending time with my family or making cards, I enjoy being active in our church. Life is good! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit.

Bouquet Thank You

Here we are at Day 5 of our big Stampendous Release Week!  What a fun week it has been and I have enjoyed showing you the cards that I have made with these new fabulous images!  If you haven't already, be sure to stop by the Stampendous website to see all of the new products.  There is definitely something for everyone!

The card that I am sharing with you today features the gorgeous Bowl Bouquet stamp.  I love this image and it was so much fun to color with my Copic markers!  Across the bottom of my card front, I stamped the border stamp from the Cling Jumbo Moray Dahlia set with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Detail Clear Embossing Powder.  The sentiment is from the Say It Today clear stamp set.  This May Arts crinkle ribbon is quickly becoming my favorite - I'm starting to think I need it in every color!

Well, my stampy friends, it's been a fun week and I've enjoyed sharing my creations with you.  I hope you've had time to check out all of the great new products on the Stampendous website, I just know you'll be impressed!

Cap and Scroll

Have you had a chance to check out the new Stampendous release yet??? Well, what are you waiting for???  It is FABULOUS!

I have a quick and easy card to share with you today!  It's perfect for the special graduate in your life.  I chose the colors for this card based on our local high school colors, but this can be easily changed to your local colors. What a fun way to personalize a card!  I used the Graduation Background for one panel, stamped with Tsukineko London Fog ink and the main image is Cap and Scroll stamped with VersaMark ink and embossed with Marcasite Embossing Powder.

A couple of lengths of baker's twine and VOILA!  Card is done!  Quick and easy!  This card could also be used for graduation announcements, party invitations or thank you notes.  It's so versatile!

If you'll stop by again tomorrow, I'll have one more card to share with you using some beautiful images from this new release.  If you've been keeping track that means I will have posted FIVE days in a row!  That has to be some sort of a record for me!

Thanks for stopping by today - take time to get inky!

Sunflower Note

Happy Stampendous Release Week!!!

It's finally time when we,on the Design Team, can show you all of the new Stampendous products and what we've all been working on for the past few months.  We really had some great images to work with for this new catalog, you'll want to kick back with a cup of coffee and check out all of the new products HERE.  You are sure to be impressed!

The card that I'm sharing today is one that was shown in the new catalog.  I used this beautiful Sweet Sunflower image and the sentiment is from the Crosswords clear stamp set.  I colored the image with Copics and then added some Tea Dye Distress ink to soften the edges.  A bit of Vintage Mahogany Embossing Tinsel was a fun accent on the center of the flower.

I'm planning on making a few more of these cards to keep in my stash.  I think it's a good card for men or women.  After cleaning out my supply of cards to give as gifts for the holidays, I'm running low and it's time to replenish my supply!

Time for me to head out, my friends, but be sure to stop by again tomorrow when I'll be sharing yet another card featuring stamps from the new Stampendous release!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hats Off to the Grads

It's Release Week at Stampendous!  Just wait till you see all of the fantastic new products!  Get a pen and paper ready, you'll want to start a wish list!

The card I'm sharing today was featured in the new Stampendous catalog. It's still such a thrill for me to have MY cards in the catalog - I have to pinch myself!  For this card I first stamped Hat Toss with Tsukineko VersaFine Black Onyx ink and then masked that off and stamped Graduation Background with VersaMark ink and heat embossed Detail White Embossing Powder.  Lightly applying  Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky really accents the white embossing! The big reveal happens when you finally remove the mask! I love that moment!  A bit of red baker's twine was the perfect finishing touch!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Tomorrow I'll have another card to share with you!  Stop by the Stampendous Blog to see more products from the new release!  I know you'll be impressed!  Fran has really outdone herself this time!

Hope all is well in your corner of the world!  Take time to get inky today!

Delicate as a Daisy

Have you see all of the new Stampendous stamps and products???  All I can say is...WOW!  They have really outdone themselves this time!  You'll want to pour a cup of coffee and check out all of the goodies HERE!  Some of the products included are Stack Art, the Creative Palette and some really fun Mixed Media stamp sets.  This week the girls on the Design Team are sharing projects that we have made with some of the new stampy goodness.

The card I have for you is one of my favorites!  I LOVE this Delicate Daisy image!  I kept the coloring very simple on this one and just highlighted the petals a bit with a pale aqua Copic marker.  The background was stamped with the new Rattan Weave stamped in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Lettuce Opaque Embossing Powder found in the Scenic Selection Embossing Powder Kit.   I have a feeling I'll be reaching for this stamp often to create backgrounds.

This May Arts Parrot Green/Yellow Textured Ribbon is the perfect finishing touch.  I love this ribbon!  It is so easy to work with.  I added a bit of Peach String Burlap Ribbon to accent the peach card base.

Well friends, that's my card for today.  Stop by again tomorrow for another card featuring stamps from the new Stampendous release. Don't forget to visit the Stampendous website to see What's New!

We Can Build a Snowman

"In the meadow, we can build a snowman"

Well, now you can build a snowman on a card also, thanks to Stampendous!  With this ingenious Build a Snowman stamp set you can create cute little snowy scenes for your cards or scrapbook pages.  The interchangeable heads, bodies and arms mean you can create a ton of frosty snowmen to celebrate Christmas or Winter!  It is such a fun stamp set to work with and the possibilities are really endless!  I think I'll be reaching for this set often this winter!

Since this was a birthday card for my friend, Kathy, I tried to stay away from traditional "Christmas colors".  I love this snowflake paper by DCWV.  I find myself using it on a lot of my winter cards.  I inked up the snowflakes with purple ink to add to my stamped panel.  Who says you can't have purple snowflakes (just stay away from the yellow ones!)

For the perfect finishing touch, I reached for my Stampendous Crystal Embossing Powder.

Thanks for stopping by today - don't forget to stop by the Stampendous blog to see the snowman creations the other girls on the design team have to share with you.

In the Meadow

Brrrr!!!   I don't know what the weather is like in your corner of the world, but here in the Chicago area it is COLD!!!!  Our windchill is currently making it feel like our temperature is 40° BELOW zero!  That's just wrong!  We were supposed to head back to school this week after Winter Break, but schools have remained closed due to extreme temperatures.  The boys and I are all getting a little stir-crazy and ready to get back into a daily routine which include school and work!

So, the card that I'm sharing with you today is perfect!  This week is "Snowman" week for the Stampendous design teams!  Be sure to check the Stampendous blog to see what all the other girls have to share!

My card features this super adorable Stampendous Snowman Banners clear stamp set.  It's such a cute set, and I just love the look on this little guys face.  He looks so content to be hanging out with his bird friends.  I colored the image with Copics and then added some Stampendous Crystal Embossing Powder for the snowy area.  The papers are from the DCWV holiday stack.

Well friends, thanks for stopping by today.  Be sure to stop by on Friday when I'll have another snowman card to share with you.  Until then, stay warm!
