Welcome to Paper Inkspirations!

Hi! My name is Krissy, welcome to my blog. I have been an avid paper-crafter for many years, my addiction started with scrapbooking and has evolved to card-making. It all started when I realized that I had forgotten to buy a card for my nephew's birthday. Looking at my ever-expanding collection of scrapbook supplies, I thought I'd made a card for him. Since then, I've been hooked on card-making and my scrapbooks have been collecting dust. Someday I'll get back to them... I have two beautiful boys and a wonderful & supportive husband and I work at the Preschool at our church. When I'm not spending time with my family or making cards, I enjoy being active in our church. Life is good! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit.

Take time to get inky today....

TLC Blessing

I have a slight addiction.  I admit it.  However, I don't think there's a 12-step program for it.  I'll just have to tough it out, I'm afraid.  I'm addicted to the parchment-look paper in the Spice Market Card Stock collection by Recollections (available at Michaels).  I find myself reaching for this paper ALL THE TIME.  I have actually had to stop myself from using it on more than one occasion.  But, it's just so pretty and goes with so much!  So there you have it....admitting is the first step, right???

Anyway, of course I used that card stock on this card as the card base and the panel that I stamped on.  I love this stamp by Stampendous.  It's available at Michaels and is called TLC Blessing.  I embossed it using Stampendous embossing powders.  The patterned paper is from the Latte Mat Stack by DCWV.  The paper in this stack has a fun texture to it and all the colors are really pretty.

The great thing about this card is that all of the supplies used to make it are available at Michaels.  For more details on this card, check out the directions and supply list on the Michaels website.

Well friends, that's it for me today.  Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day and take time to get inky today.

Paris Travels

Hi!  Remember me?  Gosh, it's been a long time since I posted anything.  I really need to get my act together!!!

Today I thought I'd share a journal I made awhile back for Michaels' Stamptember event last year.  The journal has great texture on it, so to emphasize it, I ran an ink pad across the top (very lightly) to accent the wrinkles.  (Please note, this is the ONLY place you will ever see me accent wrinkles - only on paper - never on my face!)

I stamped this great Stampendous I Love Paris image on parchment-style paper by Recollections and tore the edges by hand and them "roughed" them up a bit.  I colored the flowers on the image with Copics and added a few pearls.

This was a really fun project to make - I'll be making more journals in the future.  The journal was pretty inexpensive and once decorated, would make a great gift.

All the supplies used to make this journal are available at Michaels!

Ok, time for me to skedaddle!  I'll be back again soon!  Thanks for checking in today...now it's time for you to get inky!
